2) I think the campaigns she has been a part of have all been effective not only for their marketing purposes, but also in their representation for woman of color. Many of her campaigns emphasize the importance of confidence and self-esteem in women. Queen Latifah is portrayed in an inoffensive and a commendably positive manner. In commercials and photographic advertisements, she is presented as an attractive, classy and confident woman. Her contribution to the CoverGirl cosmetic lines does not perpetuate or re-examine existing stereotypes of black women.
