Master Plan Comments
The overview of the master plan seems excellent. The goals it outlines makes it seem like a plan that can only be welcomed and received positively although at a closer look it appears more invasive than the vague outline suggests. All the improvements the plan suggest seem favorable although unavoidably it will displace some people because the University wants to expand, but the space they want is already being used and occupied.

Assignment #1 - Blog Entry
1) The spokesperson I am writing about is Queen Latifah. She is a spokesperson and face of many CoverGirl products. More specifically she is the spokesmodel for her own line of CoverGirl products called Queen Collection. The Queen Collection is a line of makeup specifically for black women because of its hues more appropriate for dark skin. Queen Latifah also recently became a face for the CoverGirl Clean Make-up for Clean Water Campaign. A campaign whose goal is to provide clean water to under served communities. It is a great accomplishment for a black woman to be one of the faces representing a major company.
Queen Latifah has been one of their spokeswomen for at least four years. She is now well known for her talents as a rapper, singer and actress although she began her career has young rap artist. Shortly after launching her rap career she appeared in movies and television shows where she further gained popularity and public attention. In the 90s, she was mostly only recognized among black audiences and within the black community. By the 2000s, she had achieved a notable amount mainstream success after her role in the film Chicago. Queen Latifah has a long and wide list of accomplishments and being a spokesmodel for CoverGirl positively lengthens that list.
